The success of BH and the success of our women are dependent on the interaction of three equal partners: the woman who commits herself to seek help, the licensed mental health counselor who acts as her guide on this journey and her church/community family who supports her spiritually, emotionally and physically as needed. The commitment of the woman and her counselor are detailed in the program description.
Butterfly Gardens will be located in two places. The faith based component will be through the local churches where we will provide the counselors to lead the group and the church will contract with BH to develop the garden to their specifications. The commitment of her church group is crucial to her success. The other component will be gardens based at the physical building Butterfly House. These are for women who do not attend church and live in the Central Florida community. Their support will be from community mentors and volunteers. Their financial support will be through donations and grants. Both gardens curriculum will be the same and interchangeable whether she is at the house or at he church.
All of women participating whether in a church or at BH will have access to the facilities and all of the programs and services offered.
